These terms describe how software, digital products, and creative content produced by Momentum Creative Technology Inc. (“MCT”, “we”, “us”) are licensed.

Specific products may include their own license files or terms. If there is ever a conflict, the product-specific license takes precedence for that product.

1. Standard Licensing for MCT Software and Digital Content

MCT produces a range of software and creative assets, including (but not limited to):

  • Desktop or mobile applications
  • Scripts, tools, and utilities
  • Educational and training content
  • Visual and audio media
  • Web content and documentation

Each product or download will clearly indicate its applicable license, which may include, for example:

  • Open-source licenses such as GPL-3.0-or-later or MIT
  • Proprietary licenses / End-User License Agreements (EULA)
  • Creative Commons licenses for non-code materials
  • “All rights reserved” copyright

Unless a product explicitly states otherwise:

  • Software code is licensed under the open-source or proprietary terms shown with that product.
  • Branding, logos, and marketing artwork remain copyrighted and are not open-licensed.
  • Documentation and educational materials are copyrighted, unless clearly marked with a Creative Commons license.

Every downloadable product from MCT includes the complete license text appropriate to that product, along with any required third-party notices.

2. Additional Terms for Software Developed for Blender

MCT develops software that integrates with Blender, including add-ons, extensions, operators, and tools that use the Blender Python API.

By default, and unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product itself:

All MCT software that integrates with Blender and is distributed as a Blender add-on or extension is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later).

Each such Blender add-on or extension:

  • Includes a LICENSE file containing the full text of the GNU General Public License, version 3.
  • Includes license notices in the source code files indicating that the code is licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later.
  • Includes any required third-party license notices for bundled libraries or assets.

Under the GPL:

  • You may use, study, modify, and redistribute the add-on or extension under GPL terms.
  • If you redistribute it (original or modified), you must keep it under the GPL and provide the corresponding source code and notices.
  • You may not re-license the add-on as non-GPL or remove required license notices.

Any commercial sale or distribution of such add-ons (for example, through marketplaces or stores) relates to access, packaging, updates, and support, and does not change the underlying GPL license applied to the code itself.

3. Branding, Logos, and Visual Identity

Regardless of the software license used for a given product, the following remain separately protected:

  • Company name and wordmarks
  • Logos and visual identity elements
  • Icon sets, UI artwork, and branded illustrations
  • Marketing banners, thumbnails, and promotional imagery

You may use these assets only as they are included and displayed within MCT products in their intended context. You may not:

  • Redistribute them as a standalone asset pack
  • Create confusingly similar branding
  • Use them in commercial or promotional materials in a way that implies endorsement or partnership, unless you have our written permission

If you wish to use MCT branding or logos in press, educational materials, or other media, please contact us for approval.

4. Documentation, Educational Materials, and Media

Unless otherwise indicated:

  • User guides, manuals, and help articles
  • Training materials, blog posts, and scripts
  • Diagrams, annotated screenshots, and tutorial images
  • Audio and video materials

You may:

  • Link to our documentation and media
  • Quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original source

You may not:

  • Republish complete documents or media, free or paid, without our permission
  • Package our documentation or media as part of your own product, course, or training material without a written agreement

If any document or media is released under a Creative Commons license (for example, CC BY 4.0), that license will be clearly indicated with that specific item.

5. Third-Party Components

Some MCT products may use or bundle third-party libraries, fonts, or assets. These components remain licensed under their own terms.

Where applicable, we will include relevant third-party licenses and attributions:

  • In the downloaded package (for example, within a licenses or third_party file or folder), and/or
  • In an “About”, “Credits”, or documentation section associated with the product

Use of those third-party components is governed by their respective licenses, in addition to any MCT license.

6. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:

  • MCT software and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee compatibility with all systems, future versions of host software, or suitability for any specific purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Momentum Creative Technology Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our software or content.
